1 / Who may use VinylLink
VinylLink connects businesses seeking specialist installation work with independent installers. You must be at least 18, act in a business or professional capacity, provide accurate account details and have authority to act for any company you represent. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell the platform promptly if your account is compromised.
2 / What the platform does
Businesses can publish job briefs, find installers, invite or shortlist candidates, confirm work, exchange messages and review completed bookings. Installers can create a professional passport, state their skills and availability, apply and respond to invitations. A listing, match or badge is not a guarantee of fitness for a particular site or project. Businesses remain responsible for assessing scope, suitability, safety, qualifications and insurance before appointing anyone.
VinylLink facilitates introductions and booking records; it is not the employer, principal contractor or a party to the separate installation contract between a business and an installer. The parties should agree the scope, price, variations, site rules, cancellation terms and payment arrangements directly before work starts.
3 / Profiles and verification
Do not misstate qualifications, experience, insurance, availability, identity or the right to work. Verification means a specified item was reviewed by the platform at a point in time; it does not certify workmanship or guarantee current coverage. Credentials can expire, be withdrawn or require rechecking. A self-declared skill does not become verified merely by being listed. The platform may request evidence and remove or suspend misleading claims.
4 / Jobs, bookings and payment
Business users must provide a truthful, reasonably complete brief, including dates, site conditions, access, relevant hazards and required credentials. Installers must only accept work they are competent and available to perform. Both parties should keep material changes and agreed variations in the booking record. Unless expressly agreed otherwise between the parties, the installer invoices the business directly for installation work; VinylLink does not hold installation payments in escrow. Any platform fee must be agreed with the business in its separate commercial agreement and invoiced separately. Do not assume a fee, cancellation charge or refund is fixed by this page.
5 / Site safety and problems
Businesses are responsible for providing safe and accurate site information; installers remain responsible for carrying out their work safely and following applicable law and site procedures. An installer may report an unsafe site or materially incorrect scope. Raise no-shows, defects, disputed variations and other incidents promptly with evidence. VinylLink may review records and help coordinate a resolution but does not replace the parties’ contractual rights or any statutory remedies.
6 / Messages, evidence and reviews
Use the service only for lawful professional purposes. Do not upload confidential information you have no right to share, malicious content, unlawful material, or another person’s private documents without a proper basis. You retain ownership of your content and permit VinylLink to host, process and display it as needed to operate the marketplace. Public profile content may be visible to visitors; job, message and booking content is shared with relevant parties and authorised platform staff as needed. Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand experiences; bilateral reviews remain hidden until both parties submit or the review window ends. The platform may remove fraudulent or abusive content.
7 / Access and service changes
VinylLink may restrict or suspend access to protect users, investigate fraud or serious safety concerns, or address a breach of these terms. Availability of the website and matches cannot be guaranteed. Material changes to these terms should be brought to account holders’ attention before they apply; continued use after the effective date may indicate acceptance where permitted by law.
8 / Liability and governing law
Each party remains responsible for its own acts, omissions and contractual obligations. Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any further limitation of VinylLink’s liability needs to be settled in the signed commercial agreement and reviewed for enforceability. These terms are intended to be governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory applicable law.
9 / Privacy and contact
See the Privacy notice for information about personal data, storage and your rights. Legal entity and contact details are pending confirmation; do not use this page as a substitute for a completed business contact disclosure.
